The browser-local structure checker
Your file stays in your browser.
This page explains the FileSpecGuard static tool from Ascendant Systems LLC. Read it with our privacy notice and terms.
Choose non-sensitive inputs
Use synthetic or non-sensitive business files only. Do not select or paste health information, PHI, credentials, sensitive personal information or material you are not authorized to use. This tool is not a regulated-data service or a security, malware or compliance certification.
Local processing
The checker reads a selected file only after you choose “Check structure,” or checks text you paste. It processes file contents and your selected rules in browser memory. It does not upload them, send them to an AI service, create an account or save them in cookies or browser storage. It does not execute formulas, modify the original file or generate a corrected copy.
The file picker can display your chosen filename as part of your browser’s interface. The tool does not include it in results, exports or logs. Leaving or reloading the page can lose your inputs. Your browser may retain form values through its own restoration features; the tool does not control that behavior.
Reports and clearing inputs
The JSON report is generated locally. It contains the check time, engine version, pass/fail status, counts, rule codes and finding locations. It excludes the original file name, required header names and cell values. Counts and locations may still be business information; store and share reports appropriately.
“Clear all inputs” resets the current page and invalidates any file read still in progress. It does not delete your original file, downloaded reports or browser-managed copies. JavaScript memory is managed by your browser; clearing the form is not a secure-erasure guarantee.
Ordinary website requests
Your browser requests the page and its static assets. Hosting infrastructure receives connection and request metadata, such as your IP address, requested page, request time and browser information. That is separate from your file contents and validation rules, which the tool does not submit. This page uses no third-party fonts or advertising scripts.
Email and other links
The specification-setup link opens your email application with a fixed subject. It does not attach your file or report or add your inputs to the message. If you choose to send email, your email provider processes it and Ascendant Systems LLC receives it. Avoid sending confidential files in an initial inquiry.

Limited activity counts
We count page views, completed tool checks, prepared report exports and clicks on designated inquiry links. Each event contains only an event type, fixed asset and page identifiers, a format version and a new random event ID. It contains no inputs, results, file names, file contents, source links or referrer. These counters use no cookies or browser storage and respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Synthetic examples are excluded from action counts. A prepared export is not a confirmed download; an inquiry click is not a sent message or a lead.
